Your session with our staff as part of our fortnight focusing on Positive Mental Health was invaluable. The chat in our staff-room the next day bore testimony to the fact that you had given us food for thought, with good humour, energy and an empowering perspective on how we can learn to take charge of our busy lives! I loved the no nonsense phrases you used. It all makes sense, but your ability to make the psychology “user friendly” means that your impact on a group is lasting. Thanks Mick; the more audiences you reach the better for our collective well being!

Following the successful use of the excellent ‘Weaving Wellbeing’ books in our school this year, we invited Mick Rock to come to speak to our staff on the importance of building resilience and wellbeing in ourselves. As teachers, we face many setbacks and things don’t always go according to plan. During Mick’s workshop we were reminded of the importance of self-talk and the power of positive psychology. He gave us practical suggestions of how we can change our focus. We left the talk feeling energised and ready for the term ahead!

Mick – thanks so much for the lively informative talks on Work-life Balance and Belief Systems that you gave at the Annual Educate Together Staff Away Day. Both were hugely successful – the buzz we felt on the day carried right through to us getting back to work, thus exceeding the value I’d hoped to receive from a half day session.

We invited Mick to be our guest speaker at the AGM of the Parent Teachers Association. From the first time I met with him I was very impressed by his sunny disposition and genuinely positive outlook on life. Mick spoke to the parent group about work life balance. His presentation was light hearted and enjoyable but the serious message hit home! He is a very good speaker who knows how to engage his audience and keep them interested. The parents were delighted with his presentation and many returned to let me know how much they had enjoyed it.
